Excel Locales


A common problem with non-English locales is that the locale settings for the decimal symbol as set on Control Panel

can be overridden in Excel options:

It must be the same in both – either both a period, or both a comma. The Ruby push/pull system expects one or the other. The standard setting for non-English locales would be comma in Control Panel, and Use System Separators ON in Excel:
